Magic:

Magic Rules:

  • Whenever you cast a Light spell, you gain .1 Morality.
  • Whenever you cast a Dark spell, you lose .1 Morality.
  • Whenever you cast a Blood spell, you lose .25 Morality.
  • If you have 1.0 - 2.4 Morality, you can learn Dark spells up to Rank 2.
  • If you have 2.5 - 3.5 Morality, you can learn Dark and Light spells up to Rank 1.
  • If you have 3.6 - 5.0 Morality, you can learn Light spells up to Rank 2.
  • Every 25 Skill, Draw gains an additional 5 MP.
  • Unless a spell specifically states that it does additional damage/effects against characters of a specific Element, it does not.
  • Wraiths can use Rank 1 in all Elemental spells, and the appropriate rank in Dark/Light.

Ice and Water

Rank 1 Spells
Shard Spray Liquid Bubble
Requirements: None Requirements: None Requirements: None
Description: A small bolt of ice is launched from the fingertips of the caster. Description: A spray of water is sent from the fingertips of the caster at high velocity. Description: The caster is enveloped in a bubble of water, protecting him from ranged attacks.
Effect: 1d9+3 damage -11 MP Effect: 4d2 damage -12 MP Effect: Prevents 1d6 damage per ranged attack for 1d4 turns. -14 MP

Effect: 1d19+3 damage -26 MP. Roll 1d4. On a 1, the target is frozen for 1d3 turns. Effect: 5d3 damage -17 MP Effect: Prevents 4 damage per attack for 1d3 turns. -25 MP
Upgrade Rate: +3 damage roll, +2.5 MP (considered to be rounded down). Upgrade Rate: +1 damage dice, +5 MP; for every 2 levels, +1 damage roll. Upgrade Rate: Prevents +.5 damage, +3 MP; for every 4 levels, +1 turn roll.

Blizzard Slumber Mist Purify
Requirements: 8 Skill Levels Requirements: Level 4 Water Blast Requirements: Level 4 Spray
Description: The caster creates a blizzard. Description: The caster creates a mist around the target, lulling him to sleep. Description: The caster cleanses the target of any abnormal status effects.
Effect: 5d2 damage per turn to all characters, including the caster, for 1d4+2 turns. Roll 1d5 once per character, every turn. On a 1, that character is frozen for 1d3 turns. -30 MP Effect: This requires 3 accuracy rolls. Acid Vapor Boulder Granite Grip

Description: A cloud of poison is created, corroding armor and flesh. Description: A boulder appears and crushes the target. Description: Hands come out of the ground and grab the target.
Effect: 2d5 damage -14 MP. If the target is wearing armor of any kind, roll 1d3. On a 1, it cannot be used for the remainder of combat. Effect: Roll 1d100. On # or higher, the target takes 18 damage. # = the target's speed. -15 MP. Effect: This requires 3 accuracy rolls. The target is stunned for 1d1 turns. -22 MP. This can only be used once every four turns.
Upgrade Rate: +1.5 damage roll, +1.5 MP. Upgrade Rate: +30 to the 1d100 roll (1d100 to 1d130), +4 MP. Upgrade Rate: +.5 turn roll (rounded down), +4 MP.


Rank 2 Spells
Acid Mist Slow Crag Crush
Requirements: Level 4 Acid Vapor Requirements: Level 4 Granite Grip Requirements: Level 5 Boulder
Description: A fine mist of poison appears, corroding armor and flesh and reducing accuracy. Description: The target slows down drastically. Description: The caster sends down many boulders down onto the target.
Effect: 3d6 damage -24 MP. The target gets an additional -7 to accuracy on his next round. If the target is wearing armor, roll 1d2. On a 1, it cannot be used for the remainder of combat. Effect: The target gets -10% to accuracy and the caster gets +10% to accuracy for the next 1d3+2 turns. -28 MP Effect: Roll accuracy 1d2 times. For every hit, perform Boulder. This costs an additional 3 MP per hit.
Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, +1.5 MP. Upgrade Rate: +3 caster accuracy, +3 target accuracy, +4 MP. Upgrade Rate: +1 times accuracy rolled roll (1d2 to 1d3).


Rank 3 Spells
Acid Beam Stonewall Crag Press
Requirements: Level 4 Acid Mist Requirements: Level 3 Slow Requirements: Level 3 Crag Crush
Description: The caster fires a beam of poison from the palm of his hand. Description: The target is encased in stone and cannot move. Description: The caster sends down many boulders onto multiple targets.

Effect: 3d4 damage -12 MP Effect: 3d2 damage. Roll 1d3, on a 3 the target is burned. -12 MP Effect: 1d10 damage -10 MP. On a 1, this does a total of 15 damage to the caster and the target.
Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, +2 MP Upgrade Rate: +1.5 damage roll, +5 MP Upgrade Rate: +3 damage roll, +5 caster/target damage, +3 MP

Rage Wildfire Fire Blade

Effect: All attacks performed by the caster do +5 Fire damage. The caster cannot cast magic. This lasts 1d3+1 turns. -32 MP Effect: Roll 1d2. This does 4d2 damage -12 MP that many times. Effect: The caster gains a short range attack doing 1d20+5 fire damage for 1d4+2 turns. -40 MP
Upgrade Rate: +1 damage, +1 turn roll, +5 MP. Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, +4 MP; every 3 levels, +1 to the 1d2 (1d2 to 1d3) Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, -2 MP, down to 28.


Rank 3 Spells
Berserk Burn Flame Wave
Requirements: Level 4 Rage Requirements: Level 8 Flare Requirements: Level 4 Wildfire
Description: The caster goes berserk and attacks anything he or she sees. Description: The target is afflicted with burns. Description: Waves of fire spread from the caster.

Effect: All of the caster's attacks do +6 Fire damage. All of the caster's attacks get -10% to accuracy. This lasts 1d6+1 turns. -50 MP

Effect: 1d3*10 damage -39 MP. Roll 1d3. On a 1, the target is now burned. This cannot be used twice in a row. Effect: 3d5 damage to all hostile characters. -30 MP.
Upgrade Rate: +1 damage, +2 accuracy, +4 MP; every 3 levels, -2 accuracy instead; at level 7 and above, there is a -12 accuracy modifer. Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, +10 MP Upgrade Rate: +1 damage roll, +5 MP

Air

Description: A bolt of lightning is launched from the caster's fingertips. Description: The air around the target hardens. Description: The caster moves faster than normal.
Effect: 1d12 damage -10 MP Effect: 1d12 damage. Roll 1d4. On a 4, the target is stunned for 1d1 turns. -14 MP Effect: The caster gets +25 Speed and +25 Strength for 1d3+1 turns. -20 MP
Upgrade Rate: +2 damage roll, +2 MP Upgrade Rate: +1.5 damage roll, +.5 turn roll, +3 MP Upgrade Rate: +1 turn roll, +2 MP


Rank 2 Spells
Thunderclap Restrict Aerospeed
Requirements: Level 3 Lightning Bolt Requirements: Level 3 Hold Requirements: Level 4 Burst of Speed
Description: Lighting comes down from the sky and strikes the target. Description: The air around the target moves away, leaving the target in a vacuum. Description: The caster shifts his body so he takes less damage from an attack.
Effect: 1d16 damage. Roll 1d3. On a 1, this does double damage. -24 MP Effect: Roll 1d5. On a 2-3, the target is stunned for 1d2 turns. -25 MP Effect: Take half damage from an attack. This can only be used every other turn. -30 MP
Upgrade Rate: +2 damage roll, +1.5 MP. Upgrade Rate: +1 turn roll, +5 MP Upgrade Rate: -2 MP, down to 16.


Rank 3 Spells
Energize Haste Fumble
Requirements: Level 5 Thunderclap Requirements: Level 1 Thunderclap, Level 2 Aerospeed Requirements: Level 4 Restrict
Description: The caster regains some of his health. Description: The caster moves much faster than normal. Description: The target drops a weapon.

Effect: The caster recovers +25 HP. -40 MP

Effect: For every 70 speed over the target, the caster attacks an additional time per round for 1d2 turns. This takes effect immediately after use. -51 MP Effect: This requires 3 accuracy rolls. Roll 1d3. On a 1-2, the target drops a weapon and it can't be used for 1d3+1 turns. On a 3, the weapon can't be used for the next 4 turns. The caster must allow for one turn of recovery in between uses. -34 MP
Upgrade Rate: +5 HP, +6 MP Upgrade Rate: +1 turn roll, +6 MP. Upgrade Rate: -2 MP, down to 20.
